Putting Green Installation

Once the design is in place we can begin the installation...

We start by establishing the best access route to the pre-determined construction area, taking care to cause as little disturbance as possible to the existing landscaping. We then prepare the ground, excavating, building and shaping the dirt to create the contour of the green and its surroundings.

Next we lay a crushed rock sub-base where the green will sit and position the cup sleeves in that base. We add a fine stone dust to the crushed rock and compact and smooth it to create the specific contours of the green.

*On some projects we add a cushion underlayment called SOF-STEP. This gives the green a little more softness, while assisting with drainage.

We then lay out the turf, seam it and shape it to specification, add any fringe turf required, and cut in the holes.

Then we in-fill the turf with a special round grain sand by brushing the sand into the fibers. This gives the green its playing characteristics.

Finally we roll the green with a heavy roller to smooth and perfect the surface.

Now the flag can go in the ground for the ceremonial first shot!
